More Than 9,300 New Jobs Were Created in Butler County Ohio During the Three–year Period Between 2004 and 2006. Hamilton, OH, March 26, 2007 — The Butler County Board of Commissioners reported today that 3,116 new jobs were created in the County during 2006 bringing the total number of new jobs created during the 2004 – 2006 period to 9,375.

 
Biopharmaceutical company Amylin purchased $4.5 million in acreage next to its West Chester Twp. facility in February. General Manager John Pratt said the company is considering building a packaging facility on its new 17 acres along Trade Port Drive, next to the facility already under construction on 27 acres purchased in December 2005.
 
Expected to usher in more than 5,000 new jobs and millions in economic growth, the Butler County Transportation Improvement District Board of Trustees Monday voted to issue $43 million in bonds to pay for Liberty Interchange project.
 
Middletown awarded $2.16 million for a project known as the Smart Offices @ East Pointe, located on State Route 122 near I-75. The 15.4 acre site will accommodate the construction of at least 228,000 sq. ft of space.
